Magical times, MOTHERHOOD, love that is unconditional, love that knows no boundaries, love which is exceptional, love that is forever.
Just in the first trimester, I went for the harmony test. Harmony prenatal test is a DNA based blood screening test for the most common chromosomal abnormalities, including Down Syndrome. Also, it has an option to obtain information about the sex of the baby (which I was more interested in). I was going to get the results in few days time.
Doctors appointment was booked and my heart was pumping as fast as it could. I contacted the reception in the afternoon to convince the receptionist to let me know and break the anxiety but it did not help as she wanted me to see the doctor. Straight after work me and my husband went to see the doctor and situation was still the same. My heart rate was on another level and I still kept persuading the receptionist while waiting for our turn to see the doctor bit all my efforts were going in vain. Then it was our turn and I wanted to hear only one thing - “It’s a Girl”. Doctor kept building the suspense and asked me and my husband what we wanted. My instant reply was GIRL and my husband’s reply was Boy. Then the doctor revealed and it was “GIRL”. And oh my lord I was on cloud nine, my desire has come true. Rest of the results were great as well which I was less concerned about. First thing that came into my mind was shopping. Now that i can start buying the tiny cute dresses for the little lady.
After the results and just at the completion of first trimester we made the announcement to family and friends on social media. Everyone in the family and all the friends were extremely happy to hear the news particularly parents as we have been married for 5 years and they were eagerly waiting for the grand kid and friends as they wanted us to be on the same boat (sleepless nights, no night outs, no late night catch ups).
** Just for the information I always wanted a GIRL. People who know me they know very well how desperately I wanted a girl particularly for all the cute and pretty dresses available in the market, all the headbands of the world and the cuteness ( not that the boys are not cute - just my personal liking for the girls)
WAITING WAITING WAITING
Papa’s little Girl and Mama’s whole world is on the way.
I guess with baby girl mom always stays young. Wonderful to read to your journey. <3
